Local Business Spotlight: The Nile, Authentic Mediterranean Cuisine

I like steak houses quite a bit, Texas Roadhouse, Applebees, Lonestar, you name it I can nearly recite their menu.  Unfortunately the reason behind my vast nile with logoknowledge of each of their menus is that they don’t differ much from one another.  Sometimes it’s nice to break the monotony of our Saturday night date night and try a different type of cuisine and a different type of atmosphere.  This is made even better by doing so all the while supporting a local business such as The Nile.  Located on 8th Street downtown Anderson this local gem not only offers traditional and authentic Mediterranean dishes such as falafel, spinakopita, and saganaki (which I highly recommend) but they also offer the genuine Mediterranean atmosphere that adds to the appeal.  So the next time you can’t decide where to go for dinner, try something different, delicious, and affordable at The Nile restaurant!

Tommy J’s Pizza Cafe: A Hidden Gem

tommyjsOne of the greatest parts about expanding our real estate business into Anderson is that we get to talk about some of our favorite local businesses.  In our opinion one of the biggest undiscovered gem’s in our midst is Tommy J’s Pizza Cafe located on 3rd St.  While the building itself is somewhat small the atmosphere and employees are larger than life.  With the outdoor seating located on a busy corner it is a great place to eat outdoors and watch the world go by.  But atmosphere aside this place has, without a doubt, some of the best food I have ever had.  Their pizza is undoubtedly fantastic but the rest of their menu rivals my taste buds as well.  From the baked ziti to the spinach calzone the flavors and freshness are undeniable.  For those of you who have not tried Tommy J’s it is my vote for Anderson’s best kept secret so make sure you check it out before the word gets out.
