As an experienced realtor it is uncommon that I walk into a home and am in sheer amazement. Amazed at not only the openness, attention to detail, and beauty but at the absolute perfection from top to bottom. This exact thing happened the moment I walked in the door at our new listing in Markleville. The sheer magnitude of the property is enough to cause you to stop in your tracks but delving even deeper into the home and taking note of the flawless craftsmanship in this Riffey built home gives you an even deeper appreciation for the architecture and design that went into making this home. Located on 17 acres in the justly popular Pendleton School district and only 5 miles from Hoosier Park this home is ideal for horse lover in your life. In addition to the fenced in pasture it also features a 5 stall horse barn with office. I could go on and on about the interior of the house from the soaring great room with the floor to ceiling fireplace, the luxurious master spa, or the gourmet kitchen but without seeing the pictures it would not be doing it justice. Take the time to look at the pictures and set up your own personal tour! This eye catching, breath taking, mold breaking home won’t last long on the market.
I love when the weather starts getting nice out, it’s like the city comes alive! With that there are always lots of fun ways to get out, enjoy the weather, get involved in the community, meet new people, get in quality family time, and make the most of every weekend. This weekend there is so much fun going on that I thought I would go ahead and make an itinerary to help you keep it straight!
Friday: (Girls Night Out)
6:00 @ the Toscana Event Centre: “Art of the Bottle” a wine and paint class…. enjoy some vino while exploring your inner artist! A perfect way to start your event filled girls night out!
7:00 @ The Salon Professional Academy: A fashion show, door prizes, and giveaways to benefit the Animal Protection League! Only $5 at the door! This is a great girls night out idea!
10:00 @ Hoosier Park: The Flying Toasters are preforming. If you haven’t seen them before you definitely need to check them out! This is the perfect next locale for your girls night.
Saturday: (Family Day)
8:00-12:00 @ Falls Park: The Pendleton Farmers market opens. With even more vendors than last year this is the perfect way to start your Saturday with the kids. You can purchase some delicious fresh produce and let the kids play at the park.
9:00-1:00 @ The Athletic Park: The Anderson Farmer’s market is in full swing. With lots of home made crafts, vendors, fresh produce, and live entertainment the lively atmosphere makes for an upbeat Saturday afternoon.
8:00am-7:00pm @ Canoe Country in Daleville. This is a great family activity that encourages teamwork and eliminates the distraction of technology, allowing for some real family bonding.
Sat Evening (Date Night or Family Night Idea): Go on a pizza hop in town. Visit each local pizza place and get a slice at each one. At the end of the night decide which is best (I’d love to hear which one you thought). The best route I have found is to start at Meadowbrook Pizza, then make your way to Art’s on 29th St., a must visit it Tommy J’s then make sure to hit up Scampy’s, then come towards Pendleton and stop at Greek’s before stopping at the last stop 1820 Pizzeria. By the end of the night you will have had a great adventure and certainly a full belly.
(If you are kidless for the night you can do the same type of adventure looking for the best Margarita in town!)
Sunday: (Mother’s Day)
10:00 am @ The Anderson Center for the Arts: Why not do something a bit different with your mom this year and check out the Gloria Garfinkel exhibit. Afterwards avoid the Mother’s Day lunch chaos by packing a lovely picnic and heading out to enjoy the weather at Mounds park.
Don’t forget there are always countless fun and unique things to do in our very own community if you just know where to look and stay open minded. You could find yourself re-discovering all that the city has to offer.
If you are anything like me you have those certain people on your Christmas list that are impossible to buy for. Either they are incredibly picky or they already have everything they want or need. Instead of wasting your money and their space on some little nick-knack they will feel obligated to display whenever you stop by, why not put that money to good use and make a difference in our community. This Saturday (Dec.14th) from 11:00am until 2:00pm Mounds Mall will be hosting the Season of Giving Gift Fair which is sponsored by the Leadership Academy of Madison County. At this incredibly unique gift fair you can buy “virtual gifts” such as a bag of food, medicine for a sick animal, or school supplies for underprivileged children. Whatever your passion or the passion for whom you are buying there is sure to be a charity at the mall that needs your support. In fact there are going to be 16 local non-profits on hand for you to choose from. What a great way to let someone know you are thinking about them over Christmas and be able to make a difference all in one. This is an ideal event to take your children to to teach them the importance of giving back and helping those who are less fortunate. Plus this will be one of the very rare times that your Christmas gifts are tax deductible 🙂 Additionally, donations will be matched by the ever generous Hoosier Park! I hope to see all of you there spreading Christmas joy and helping to improve our community one donation at a time!
